DESIGN BY TEAMS: NO DESIGN TOO SMALL

TAKE ME , LORD, DOWN THROUGH BABYLON

I went to the mountains to pray with a song

And found myself writing a poem

The trees were my audience

And the squirrels and woodpeckers

Made rhymes in time

The rhythm of Love pulses on and on

While hummingbirds buzz by

Like rocket alarms

And songs fly in like cosmic charms

For a savaged land

The Breast of Earth I walk upon.

Where bark chip rivals green and flowers

With colors of death of big trees by the hours

What took a Good God to grow a tree

Man will cut down and never believe

That the tree had a purpose as great as his own

Creation's not made

In one day alone

If it took you seven thousand years

To get a garden to grow

Would YOU cut it down as fast as a sneeze

So the children to come won't have even a breeze?
